In this episode, we talk with Maya ( @papayabetic ) about what it is like to live without a pancreas. Maya had her pancreas removed in her early years, due to a condition called nesidioblastosis. She dives into all the details about how she lives without a pancreas, what she needs to do to keep her alive and well. There is a lot of insights about digestion and enzyme function in the episode. There is so much that Maya has to take care of as a Type 3C, but she has an incredibly positive and problem-solving attitude, which is very inspiring.
