What is it like to lose all your music? Many of you will never know - many of you weren't around when tapes and CDs were all you had with which to wander the world, that and meh radio stations. So along came MP3s and digital music and eventually streaming. I was in prison when streaming music really became a thing - but before that she was a downloading franklet - and when I went inside I INSTANTLY lost access to something which prior to arrest had been a daily necessity for me for over a decade: listening to whatever music from my collection I wanted. Wherever I was, whenever I wanted.
Seems trite but I ask, kindly to imagine yourself losing all your entertainment at once. And sit with the feeling that brings.
