"We say that black people aren't a monolith, so why do we [*some* black people] like to put ourselves into boxes?"
Hi guys!
Jess and Shubby are back with another artist feature, but this time (like every other) we've put a little spin on it.
Lavz (an inspiring rapper/all-round creative from Luton) came on board to discuss 'black conformity', and the idea that a person's behaviour, personality, or hobbies somehow betray their 'race'.
This episode was a very grown-up chat; we learned so much from Lavz about her experiences with mental health, conformity, and the music industry. It's only right to share that with you.
You're welcome x
