Description

Today the Church honors St. John Bosco, priest, educator, and founder of the Salesians. Known as a father to the young and forgotten, Don Bosco dedicated his life to saving souls with joy, discipline, and deep love for Christ.

St. John Bosco is one of my favorite saints and someone I hold very close to my heart. I attended a school run by the Salesians, and their witness left a lasting mark on my life. This episode is shared with gratitude for the mission he began and the lives it continues to shape.

In this expanded Pillar Saint episode of Saints in a Year, Saul shares 12 in depth reflections on the life of St. John Bosco. You will learn about his childhood visions, the Vision of the Two Pillars, his devotion to the Eucharist and Mary, his method of education, and why his mission remains vital today.

Reflection:

St. John Bosco reminds us that the salvation of souls is worth every sacrifice. When love is joyful and faithful, it leads others to Christ.
