Welcome back to Midnight Movies!
This week, Nikki and Cody are continuing Stephen King Month with their review of both IT: Chapter 1 and IT: Chapter 2. In the summer of 1989, a group of teenagers are haunted by an evil entity known as Pennywise the Dancing Clown. Pennywise is responsible for the disappearance of Bill Denbrough’s brother Georgie, and Bill is dead set on finding him. With the help of his friends, the self-named Loser’s Club find Pennywise and put a stop to his murderous rampage. 27 years later, Pennywise returns to wreak havoc on the town of Derry, Maine, and the Loser’s Club once again reunite to take down the evil clown once and for all.
Both IT movies were huge financial successes at the times of their release, with IT: Chapter One being the highest grossing horror film of all time. The movies were well loved at the time, but do they still hold up almost a decade later? Listen to Nikki and Cody’s review to find out!
