The Mothers of Jesus || Tamar
In this sermon we look at Tamar's story (Genesis 38). Tamar was widowed twice, full of shame and hopelessness. In a broken system where those charged to provide for widows shirked their responsibility, she seduced her father-in-law as means of forcing him to provide for her. All the while, God saw her pain and was doing something beyond what she could ever imagine. Tamar's story points to a God with a plan to bring hope through the hopeless.
