The Mothers of Jesus || Mary
In this sermon, Kevin finishes our 2018 Advent Series on the Mothers of Jesus. Mary lived in the city of Galilee when an angel of God visited her, telling her that she would give birth to the Savior of the world. As a young, engaged virgin, she was perplexed but accepted the Lord's will that she would bear his Son. Her submission to God came with consequences. Mary visibly wore a sign of that submission as an unmarried pregnant woman—a provocative situation in her culture. She almost lost her fiancé and would eventually watch her son die on a cross. Yet God in his kindness would not only preserve her marriage, but resurrect her son with the promise of true peace on earth.
