In this episode, Midnight the ninja faces a unique threat at the Sunset Reef: a "catastrophe" of extreme boredom. The Great Tide Pools have fallen under the spell of Lady Gloom, a Moon Jellyfish spreading a psychic blanket of blandness. To break the drowny "Ommmmm," Midnight must use "pointless" props—a slippery sardine, a wind-up toy, and a bouncy jellyroll. By proving that nonsense is essential, he restores the reef's vibrant joy.
