Description

Welcome to the beginning of everything.

In this first episode of Five Minute Bible, we open Scripture where God does—Genesis 1–3. Before nations, law, sacrifice, or sin, God speaks a world into existence by His Word and creates humanity in His image, appointing us to live under His authority and extend His rule across the earth.

This episode will orient your reading this morning by tracing the big picture of creation, calling, catastrophe, and hope. You’ll see Adam as a priest-king placed in God’s garden, the tragic choice to trust the serpent over the Creator, and the devastating fallout that fractures humanity, creation, and communion with God. Yet even here, in judgment, a promise is planted—the seed of the woman who will crush the serpent’s head.

This episode will help you read Genesis 1–3, not as an isolated story, but as the foundation for everything that follows. If these chapters are misunderstood, the rest of the Bible will be too. If they are seen clearly, the entire story of redemption comes into focus.

Read along today with this guiding question in mind: What did God design the world to be, and what did humanity destroy?
