Hopefully you are doing things on a daily basis that bring you joy but to attain true inner happiness, these daily activities, hobbies, etc. are merely extrinsic. To be truly happy for the long term, the goal is to feel intrinsic happiness. The biggest challenge or threat to intrinsic happiness is regret and continual dwelling on you personal and/or professional failures. You have to forgive yourself and move on so you can continue to be the best version of yourself. Then and only then will you be able to attain true long lasting happiness.
