Description

Stress is your body's way of responding to any kind of demand or threat. When you sense danger—whether it's real or imagined—the body goes into a defensive reaction or a “stress response.” The stress response is the body's way of protecting you, and the foundation of this response has been built up over time by your thought process, and your core values.  Living a life based on your values  – respect for others, balance, self-determination, spirituality, self-protection, and service for others is a way to build a strong stress response and to think positively.
Positive thinking often starts with self-talk and how you start your day. Self-talk is the endless stream of unspoken thoughts that run through your head. These automatic thoughts are programmed by you and can be positive or negative, thus building your stress response.
If the thoughts that run through your head are mostly negative, your outlook on life is more likely pessimistic. You will need to change that!
If your thoughts are mostly positive, many people start a positive routine as soon as they wake in the morning and create momentum around thinking positively the entire day.
In this episode, Dr. Chuck addresses how you can change your thinking and live with a more positive outlook.
