Bitter or Sweet? You Decide.
A novel idea the material world, the physical dimension of reality, is downstream from its spiritual source; in other words - materiality derives from spirituality.
And as such, when facing a situation of any kind in our material life, we must look deeper, or higher at its spiritual source for a solution.
This is true especially regarding one’s life conditions which are directly related to one’s embracing of his or her spiritual purpose.
A Jew is a servant of the Almighty; his life is designed to fulfill a role in the world, and therefore his circumstances are also a reflection of this purpose. When one performs his or her role properly, they gain strength and success, whereas when he tarries in fulfilling his purpose, his wellbeing, sustenance, etc., may weaken, G-d forbid.
