This week I am joined by Syracuse University Ph.D. candidate Thomas Bouril to discuss his forthcoming dissertation. Thomas studies how the colonial state, missionaries, and the Kikuyu community fought over who qualified as children and how society should treat children throughout the colonial period. We also discuss the realities of doing doctoral research in a time of the COVID19 pandemic, and a myriad of other topics.
