Description

The #MeToo and #TimesUp movements and the Harvey Weinstein scandal have brought to light the need for intimacy directors for actors and actresses. Actual intimacy is spontaneous, however, in front of the camera or on stage, that can result in feelings of uneasiness and discomfort. Intimacy directors empower actresses and actors with control over their personal comfort in scenes and projects.

ECU associate professor and intimacy choreographer Jill Matarelli Carlson, junior Gabrielle Goodman and senior Wain Richardson join us for Ep. 5 of Talk Like a Pirate to share their expertise and experience with intimacy direction during the school production of "Into the Woods."
