Roxy Jenkins is the mom of 1 daughter and 4 angels, and their journey is not over. Even though she was diagnosed with PCOS in high school she did not know that the infertility thing would happen to them. When they were given the diagnosis of infertility, they knew it would be difficult, but they knew they could still have kids.
Their journey started with a doctor that believed in just keep doing the same thing over and over again until something happens. It never did so after a year they found a new doctor. Roxy said the second doctor started her on clomid and found that she could ovulate, and that the problem was that they just could not conceive. With having insurance coverage for infertility treatments, they tried IUI with no success. They were then referred to Dr. Molina Dayal a Reproductive Endocrinologist. Dr. Molina Dayal did numerous amounts of test to help them to become pregnant which they did, but that pregnancy became their first loss. More test to figure out more of what was going on to discover she had Natural Killer Cells, a partial DQ alpha match and autoimmune issues. With all the new findings medications where changed and they became pregnant again. Roxy said it’s not a fun thing to say but we became veterans in IVF fertility. Listen to her story because she went into great details that can help you on your journey.
I asked Roxy how she dealt with all the failed attempts and the losses. She chose to tell their story, all the ups and downs on social media. She knew someone needed to speak up about infertility. When she shared her story, she found that friends were struggling as well, which helped her to not feel so isolated. As she continued her journey, she began to paint their embryos that stuck. She then started paint friends’ embryos. What started out as therapy for herself is now a business where she has painted over 600 embryos for people all over the world. She said every single story that is shared with me about these embryos tells me that I am not alone and we now all belong to a very large community of people.

Roxy's words of encouragement and advice:
You know what is best for you. If you are at a doctor and it's not working for you, switch doctors. If you want to fight for your case do it. If you think you have gone too far financially or mentally and you cannot do it anymore, if quitting is your option right now then do it. You know what is best for you. No one knows the exact position you are in and no one can be put in your shoes to understand. If you take it too far you are going to resent yourself and if you do not do enough you will resent yourself as well. So, you must know what you are willing to do and how far you are willing to go and only you and your partner can make that decision. Everyone is going to have a million different opinions, but it is up to you and your partner to decide and that is all that it should be.
