We Are Talking About That Healing That Comes From Hearing God’s Word Concerning Healing!
Faith And Faithfulness
[fath; fath’ful nes] In the Old Testament, Faith is more accurately rendered “faithfulness,” indicating firmness, reliability, or steadfastness; the faithful individual holds on confidently to his own integrity and to the precepts of the Law, strengthened by his confidence in the object of believed, the God of Israel. In the New Testament, faith is thought of as an act by which the individual avails himself of the gifts of God, submits himself in obedience to God’s commands, and abandons all thought of self, trusting only in God. Here the emphasis shifts from the reliance on self which is found in the Old Testament to complete reliance on God. The writer of Hebrews introduced the concept of faith as being opposition to “sight”; to him faith confident trust in the unseen power of God. In some instances, faith refers simply to the Christian Religion!
We have the nature of faith which is: faith’s power to Justify, Purify, and Sanctify.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
