I was talking recently to a client about crying or tears. He shared with me how he didn't like to cry in public because it made him feel weak. Well, the truth is, our society has downplayed tears, whether men or women because it is something that we feel like that person doesn't want pity or whatever. But here's what we know about tears, your willingness to truly experience the sadness, or the joy of tears, washes something away from you that only tears can do. Tears are the only time that you're genuinely congruent. That means that you're only feeling one particular emotion at a time, and you did you know that you can't talk while you cry. So tears are not a bad thing. They're a good thing. So the next time you feel tears showing up, don't prevent them. It helps you become more aware of who you are more congruent. And when you're done with the tears, you always feel much better. You don't have to explain them to anybody either. They're just tears. They're who you are. So let's be more authentic and fully allow ourselves to experience life's emotions, including tears. I love you. I'm Dan Clark.
