What exactly is discipline to you? I was recently thinking about the word and came to a fun and interesting conclusion. When you look up the definition of discipline, it says a punishment. Well, I don't know that that's actually accurate. I mean, parents have a tendency to discipline a child in order to give them some type of a guidelines if they learn something. But do we punish ourselves when we disciplining ourselves? No, we're disciplining ourselves to learn a new skill or discipline, in a particular area of life. It's completely different than having a punishment for not doing something like if I want ice cream, do I punish myself? Because I'm not disciplined enough to not eat it? No, I'm disciplined enough to not eat it because I don't want to it's a boundary. So the confusion with boundaries and discipline is a difficult one. But if you're punishing yourself all the time for what you're not doing, because you're not disciplined enough, you're never gonna get there. So let's move away from the punishment of discipline and let's practice the boundary of discipline. I love you. I'm Dan Clark.
