I finished reading The Overstory by Richard Powers in late 2020, but every time I tried to start writing about it, I got intimidated and quit. Thankfully, my new friend Lovis Geier asked me to come on her YouTube channel, Ecofictology, as a guest to talk about The Overstory. This book is ambitious, to say the least, with nine main characters (10 if you count a special tree) and spanning decades as it tells the stories of people whose lives have been majorly impacted by trees.
