I’m not sure if you’ve ever been impacted by this in your freelancing career, but we’ve seen a wave of mergers and acquisitions in the translation world lately. Several small agencies I worked with 10, 15 years ago were bought out by larger companies―some of them ended up becoming huge conglomerates in the language industry.
