Description

Lifepointe Intern, David Potts, continues our series looking at "God's Call" in the patriarchs in Genesis.

The bizarre story of Jacob and Esau and the stealing of the blessing brings about a plethora of lessons! We know that as God allows for Jacob to steal receive the blessing that was Esau's to have that His plan's do not always make sense. As we see all of the characters in the narrative have deep flaws in their character and ulterior motives that drive them to do what they do. But God remains faithful through it all. God accepts the blessing of Jacob and moves forward using him. He still carries out His plans despite our flaws! We know that the fact that this story continues the overarching themes and narrative of the rest of scripture, that God's plan never fails or falters.
