Description

Pastor Josh closes this mini-series on "God's Provision" by discussing how God provided for Joseph in the many trials that he faced, proving that He works in every season of life.

In the end of Genesis, Joseph's life is documented in full. Though his status as the favorite son and the amazing prophetic gift of interpreting dreams elevate him, we see his life turn into ruins as he is taken by his brothers, sold off into slavery and is believed by his father to be dead. As if that couldn't get worse, he has false claims against him and he is thrown into prison as a result. On top of that, after interpreting two dreams of men who worked for Pharaoh correctly, he is forgotten about for years! Only then is he brought before the Egyptian leader and elevated once again as he prevents famine. In Genesis 45, he explains to his brothers, who come looking to Egypt for food, that God worked through every event that he endured and it was for the purpose of saving his family that he went through it. We must hold onto the fact that God works for our good in every season. He provides for us, even in our dismay and unfortunate circumstances!
