Description

Pastor Josh opens up 2021 by continuing the Bible Engagement Project's third volume, "Stepping Out", examining the story of the Exodus.

The crossing of the Red Sea is an amazing story of God's faithfulness and the obedience of the Israelites. In Exodus 14, we know that God hardened Pharaoh's heart so that he would confidently go after his former slaves. The Israelites had their own blockers on as the Egyptians showed up: fear. We know circumstances can be deceiving because we don't always see God present. But when God moves the His protection from the front to the back to keep Israel safe from their oppressors, we see that when He moves, we should have no fear or worry, even if we have to trust that we can walk across seas on dry ground. As God washes the Egyptians away by closing the seas up on top of them, the chapter ends with God being glorified and Moses established as a trusted leader! In the same way, God wins in the end of our situations and struggles.
