Description

Pastor Josh takes the bonus week in April to discuss Romans 6 and Paul's warning to who we serve: Sin or Righteousness. During the pandemic, this can be a great time to evaluate where our priorities are.

Paul discusses while these new Christians used to give themselves up as slaves to sin, they turned and now are slaves to righteousness. The main thing we have to understand, as Paul warns, is that we are all slaves to something.  Whether this be slaves to our own selfish and wicked desires, or slaves to God, who gives eternal life. Paul goes on to speak about how we serve God in our lives. His is very clear that obedience to God helps us to live lives of righteousness. Obedience comes more authentically when we have a strong relationship with God, so that we know His heart in everything He asks of us. The last word that Paul leaves in this section relates to Sin leading to death and Righteousness leading to eternal life. If this is the case, why not serve the one that gives life!?
