#BehindtheBurgh is a series of podcast interviews recorded during my recent trip back to Pittsburgh, PA where I served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints more than 15 years ago. The footage of that trip culminated in the documentary film "Back to the 'Burgh" about my experience as a missionary in Pittsburgh.
In this first interview of the series, I sat down with my mission president and his wife, Scott and Christine Cameron. As a missionary, your mission president and mission mother are as close to parents as you've got. And yet, over time they become so much closer to your heart than a surrogate parent ever could. The Camerons and I talk about their perspective of the early days and months of their own adventure into missionary service.
