#BehindtheBurgh is a series of podcast interviews recorded during my recent trip back to Pittsburgh, PA where I served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints more than 15 years ago. The footage of that trip culminated in the documentary film "Back to the 'Burgh" about my experience as a missionary in Pittsburgh.
I met Serity (Stratton) Rogers when I was in my second area and had been on my mission for about a year. She was brand new to mission life and was absolutely beaming with missionary zeal and with a fragile, vulnerable spirit that made me instantly miss the closeness that I’ve always had with women in my life. It was both fun and deeply moving to sit down with Serity and talk with her about her mission, faith, repentance, and our relationship with God.
