#BehindtheBurgh is a series of podcast interviews recorded during my recent trip back to Pittsburgh, PA where I served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints more than 15 years ago. The footage of that trip culminated in the documentary film "Back to the 'Burgh" about my experience as a missionary in Pittsburgh.
I met Seth Losser when I’d been on my mission for about a year. He became one of my favorite humans the first time I met him. He was serving in another area in the zone so I got to hang out with him every couple of weeks. When we finally got the chance to serve together about six months later, the circumstances were nothing that either of us could have been ready for. And the things that happened in that area affected the next decade and a half of both of our lives.
This interview is why this documentary exists. “Back to the Burgh” is my story and Seth’s story. Our individual journeys away from God. And how God’s love found and redeemed us.
