There are very few things I love more than being surprised when my expectations were low. "The Public" is everything that is great about what we have forgotten and come to underestimate about Hollywood. Written and directed by Emilio Estevez, this movie will fly under most people's radars carrying with it a timely and all-too urgent message about the courage to stand in an America on the verge of moral bankruptcy.
