Shannon Polson was one of the first women to fly the Apache helicopter in the US Army, serving for almost a decade and then onto years in leading and managing in the corporate sector. In her latest book, The Grit Factor: Courage, Resilience and Leadership in the Most Male Dominated Organization in the World, shares dozens of women in the vanguard of their military careers and how courage, resilience and grit became key factors to their success.
