The Capes and Crowns Foundation is a non-profit that offers complimentary, custom photography services for families and children who have gone through an extreme hardship: cancer, other serious illnesses, foster care, special needs, and more.

However, the actual idea for the nonprofit came about on a flight to San Diego Comic-Con with her husband.
