Life is full of highs and lows. There are days when the world feels upon our shoulders. These are the times we need to remember to breathe and take care of ourselves. There are a lot of articles, suggestion lists, and self-help gurus offering help. In this episode I referred to the Anxiety & Depression Association of America. They have a list of tips to cope with anxiety and depression. I've read many articles and lists over the years, and many contain similar suggestions in some variation. The A&DAA has a list of 15 strategies. We review only a few of the top suggestions seen recurring with other articles. The three key points to keep in mind are 1) you are not alone, 2) there are ways to cope, and 3) there is hope.
