Families spending time together can create lasting memories. My dad used to take me to baseball games. Every summer we would see a couple of MLB games. While we may not remember the teams who came to town, it was the joined experience we don't forget. For my kids, I took them to college football games. This episode is loosely framed by a blog post, "The Secret to Making Memories: Stop Trying to Make Memories" from the HuffPost. We see people on their mobile devices, then they all come together for a quick picture, then back to their devices. The "memory" appears on social media as though they are doing some activity as a group or family, but it's not reality. Whatever you choose to do, sports, music, art, hiking, etc., make your time together real. The memories will last a lifetime, and maybe longer.
