When we look at the story of Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords, there's a lot of "peculiar" attributes that Christ had that set Him apart from the rest of nobility. He was a humble Lord, who rode into Jerusalem on the road to conquering death on the humblest of animals, a donkey. There was something odd about this "King of the Jews", and that was manifest in his humility and meekness. Furthermore, this King to replace all kings does not require anything of our own doing to receive what He offers. Christ offers salvation and peace freely to those that are His, to those that He chose.
