I used to be known as Katie Nicole..... on the couch , now I'm Luna....and I'm on the lounge! :)
On today’s couch Jackie Katsikis joins us. Being self-conscious had been with her from a very young age. It started by sticking out at school as she was more developed physically than other girls her age. By the age of 11 she had a fully fledged female menstruating body and by 12 was diagnosed with scoliosis (curvature of the spine) that led to major spinal surgery and a 12 month recovery process that saw her go from 55kg to 68kg.
This in turn led to decades of excessive dieting and as well as excessive eating which ultimately led down the self-destructive path of decades of bulimia. Her level of self-loathing was so high despite coming across very confident in public and experiencing a very successful international corporate career that saw her travel the globe training and coaching in the luxury retail sector.
After embarking on a long standing path of healing and personal development, she now accepts her body as is, especially as she is now pregnant (at time of release Jackie has welcomed into the world a precious baby girl- congratulations) and expecting her first child. She realised the bulimia was an attempt of feeling in control of her life and body as a result of experiencing a childhood that didn't feel very supportive.
Jackie is a corporate leader and change agent by day and a spiritual scientist by night. Jackie is intuitive and a life long seeker of knowledge.
She runs bi-monthly Roar Meditation circles and dedicates her time to connecting with women who are wanting to heal their past to allow them to move forward and lead their own life with passion and purpose. She believes the only thing we need to discover in our life is our own truth, which was the very thing we knew about ourselves before we embarked on this earth and allowed for all parental and social conditioning to take place.
