In today's episode, Valencia talks about such a serious topic, discrimination. She talks about systemic discrimination racially against blacks, and discrimination with allergies. In the "What's Going On" segment, she addresses the passing of George Floyd and talks about the protests currently happening throughout the U.S. on systemic racism against blacks, police brutality, racial injustice, and white privilege to raise awareness and have these tough conversations. She goes on to discuss updates from FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) and Spokin about the FDA's Temporary Policy for Labeling Flexibility and talks about some organizations that have come forward to state their labels are reliable and they won't have any formulation changes to their products. Then, she discusses food allergy discrimination to raise awareness and talk about how it can affect those with food allergies and other allergies within a school setting, work setting, social settings, relationships, etc.
