It's another non-sports edition. This time, I talk with my high school classmate (and fellow Phaedrus Alternative School Alumni) Maxim Kaspi to talk about his experiences as a professional safari guide. He talks about how he became a guide and what obstacles he had to jump over to become certified (0:59) as well as what inspired him to become a safari guide (6:09), He then tells numerous experiences of his time exploring the African Plains in numerous countries (13:22). We then talk at length about elephants (23:37), his experiences going on night safaris and the shift in behaviors of wildlife in the dark (29:31). We also talk close encounters with wildlife (36:24), the big cats of Africa (42:51), Hippos (52:46) and how we can help in conservation efforts (56:48).
