Finding a path through grief - Kelly Mackay's story
Kelly Mackay was a well-liked man, who enjoyed spending time with friends. He was a great neighbor, worked in publishing and bartending, was the father of three, and loved gardening. His life was pleasant and balanced.
But things took a horrible turn seven years back when his 17 year old daughter Olivia was murdered by Daniel Tate.
Kelly talks with us today about his grief, how it’s changed him, and how with the help of peer group counseling and the support of friends he’s learned to navigate it.
He also shares thoughts on how we might better help our own friends should they, God forbid, end up in his shoes.
Here’s Kelly.
