SELF SABOTAGE - a coaching session from The Body 4 Life Coaching Program 

Sabotage is when you do shit that prevents you from reaching your goals.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

It’s not like you’re TRYING to make things harder for yourself or ruin your progress, but you are.⁣⁣

Think of sabotage as a little gremlin. He is an instigator, the devil that sits on your shoulder.⁣⁣

Self Sabotage happens when your BELIEFS + your DESIRES don’t match up.⁣⁣

It comes from past failures or mistakes. It comes from things people said to you or about you.⁣⁣

Whatever happened to You - it gets stored in your subconscious as “your story.”⁣⁣

⁣⁣

Here’s what I mean:⁣⁣

⁣⁣

Say you want to lose 10kg, but you’ve grown up in an overweight household + someone once told you, “you’ll always be a big girl.”

If you don’t acknowledge that belief as someone else’s, your subconscious will “store” that belief as your own.⁣⁣

Then.. you’ll do things to keep yourself overweight.⁣⁣

Because deep down, “you’ll always be a big girl.”⁣⁣

You’ll take actions to confirm that belief.⁣⁣

Your brain’s only job is to keep you safe + comfortable.⁣⁣

But your goals requires discomfort.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

When you start making progress, the brain tries to pull you back down to what you are used to, maybe it’s to not succeed

So if you DESIRE weight loss but your beliefs are up the fuck, you’ll mess it up!⁣⁣

Remember, those old stories or limiting beliefs, those aren’t yours!⁣⁣

You just adopted them as your own, but you get to rewrite your story at any time!!⁣⁣

Which takes time. And support. you need to be patient + not so damn hard on yourself.

I had LOTS of limiting beliefs, so I get it, I spent years with eating disorders and money issues, self worth and confidence lies.

In business and in my body / mind.

until I lent into coaching and self development to rewrote my stories!⁣⁣

I can now shift through my stories and come out so strong on the other side.

⁣⁣
