E21: I'M GRATEFUL FOR MY FATHER • I’m grateful for my father. It’s his birthday day and I’m grateful for him because he’s been a strong example of what a man should be and someone that I really look up to. We have a lot of similarities and a lot of differences.

My favourite memories with him are playing ball hockey, going to live sporting events, and just joking around. He’s the guy that everyone around our town knows. It’s hard to go anywhere with him and not have him end up talking to someone that he knows (or someone he doesn’t know… haha). He’s a silent leader and I still have a lot to learn from him.

I know that the topic of fathers can be a tough one. Some of you have had similar experiences to me, some of you don’t know your fathers, and some of you wish you hadn’t. We need way more men who stand up for what’s right and aren’t afraid to be examples for the younger generation. I hope that we all have father
