(Featuring Sanjay Bagga)

This was a great opportunity to catch up with Sanjay and also find out what it's like building a promotion from the ground up. Coming to the decision to promote shows and sell tickets is not only a business risk but also not an easy achievement and Sanjay turned it into a growing business that is now expanding across the UK and Internationally.

Although I met Sanjay as a young fan in 2004/05, I got to know him properly as one of his students in 2008 and he gave me my first opportunity to perform in a wrestling ring in front of an audience. When I decided that I wanted to become a pro wrestler, I knew I had to find a school where I could train and LDN was that school.

We talk about some of the factors of what it takes to successfully develop a brand but also some of the people along the way who have helped. It was a great insight to see how the building blocks (LDN name, belt design, training school to name a few) all came about which were the developing years for the brand. It was also good to understand how far he has been able to reach out to a wider audience and keep the demand for authentic British wrestling strong with his loyal and growing fanbase. We talk about some favourite and funny memories during the early years and also his future plans for the promotion. His passion for the business and for UK wrestling is unmatched, which shows through his achievements with multiple awards like Promotion of the Year and Promoter of the Year at the British Wrestlers Reunion.
