Description

It can be difficult at times to find joy in the present when you have so many big plans ahead of you. Or, it can be hard to work in the mundane, tedious tasks of life when you have no idea what direction to go in. Regardless, we can oftentimes take the present day for granted, focusing too much on the future and not appreciating the gifts God has given us today.

This podcast episode shares some different ways you can find joy in the everyday tasks. The first perspective that this podcast dives into is understanding that because Jesus has a big plan for your life, you don't have to stress about it. God created you for a reason and gave you specific gifts and opportunities to pursue the life He created you to live. Because God has given you these gifts, you have every ability to pursue the plan He has set for you. It's just your job to depend on God and believe in yourself.

Another lesson that this podcast discusses is that if we live by the fundamental principles that make us who we are, we can overcome the crazy changes in life. Change is inevitable, and sometimes it can be very overwhelming. However, if we stick to our fundamental values and ask God for fulfillment and joy, we can remain centered on him. Matthew 7:24-25 reminds of this, telling us to build our life on a rock rather than on sand.

The last perspective that this podcasts shares is that the most rewarding achievements are the incremental wins that collect over time. So often, we focus more on the destination and forget to be thankful for the journey. But it's actually in the journey that we gain new skills. It's in the journey that we make memories, experience love, understand the importance of self-discipline, and grow closer to God. We can't forget all the little wins that we experience in the journey toward to greater goal because these wins are the very things that give us motivation to continue to live for God each day.

I hope that you enjoy this podcast and never forget that God has a plan for your life. There is no need to fear. Just enjoy each day and find a reason to be thankful for each day. It's when you're able to do this that you can find joy in the simplest things.

God bless you! :)
