There was a former grocery store manager that was talking about freedom, choices, and options. The first time that I saw that guy speak he was talking about making $400k / year. That was a big deal to me, especially for a guy that was making $7/hr. But, most importantly, I wasn't starstruck by the numbers. I really felt like this guy was a human too. I thought that if I learned what he knew, I'd have what he had. I took all his knowledge. I picked his brain and soaked up all that he would offer me. I did this because I wanted to be financially free. I wanted to be financially independent!
