Andrew attends a prestigious music school in hopes of becoming a Jazz band drummer. Fletcher, a well-known professor, invites Andrew to be part of his studio band. From there things spiral out of control as Fletcher abuses his students to a serious degree and Andrew unable to quit pushes himself to extremes in this intense movie of music.
