Hope Dealer with Rich Walters

Rich said he fell in love with drugs and alcohol at 13 years old.

"I didn't realize how much I hated being sober until I was loaded."

Over the next 21 years, he remained under the influence of some type of substance.

He described the first ten years as fun, but the last eleven were spent trying to forget how bad his life had become.

After hitting progressively lower rock bottoms and being faced with prison, Rich got sober on April 28, 2014.

"I hit the ground running in a 12 Step fellowship and never looked back."

Today Rich travels the country speaking to various groups about the vicious cycle of drug addiction and alcoholism and is the National outreach director for a treatment center in Florida.
