2 Sa 23-24
23 Continues with David’s song of praise to the Lord.
It speaks about David mighty warriors and describes their individual accomplishments
24 Another census is taken of Judah and Israel
It was reported there were about 800,000 fighting men in Israel and about 500,000 in Judah
David sins against the Lord and then asks him to take away the guilt.
The Lord gives David three choices and allowed him to chose which one would be carried out against him: three years of famine on his land; three months of fleeing from his enemies or a plagues that would last for three days.
David builds an altar for the Lord and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings.
