Deuteronomy 4
God hates the worship of other gods , when we give His glory to others , people or things .
God reminded the Israelites of the punishment for worshiping other gods , He promised them His everlasting love as long as they give Him their worship.
The commandments of the Lord are just , when we give him our best He will come through for us
Deuteronomy 5
In the farewell speech of Moses , he encouraged the Israelites to give their total dedication to God . He reminded of the commandments of God .
We as believers should keep the commandments of the Lord close to our hearts
Deuteronomy 6
Furthermore in Moses farewell speech , he encouraged the Israelites to teach the laws of the Lord to their children.
To teach them to keep the commandments of the Lord close to their hearts.
