Hiram that king of Tyre heard that Solomon had become king of Israel. He being a friend of David sends envoys to Solomon .
Solomon made some demands for timber to be used for building the temple of the Lord.
So Hiram accepted the demands and he inturn asked Solomon to help provide food for his royal family .
Thirty thousand men of Israel were enlisted labourers .

Solomon began building the temple.
This was the fourth year of the reign of Solomon over Israel. The Lord visited Solomon and promised to establish his kingdom. Solomon was to follow the statutes and commandments of God . And God would in turn keep his word .
The building of the temple took seven years . It was finished in the eleventh year of Solomon's reign. It was a magnificent temple with gold furnishings.
Lessons
God is very faithful to His promises . We also need to be like him to be faithful in our commitments.

Solomon built his Palace . It took thirteen years to get this done.
Hiram made pillars, the sea and utensils for the temple of bronze. Solomon made the furniture of gold.
