"The Edinburgh Festival Fringe (often referred to as simply The Fringe) is the world's largest arts festival, which in 2018 spanned 25 days and featured more than 50000 performances of 3548 shows in 317 venues, with more than 2.8 million tickets issued. Established in 1947 as an alternative to the Edinburgh International Festival, it takes place annually in Edinburgh, Scotland, in the month of August."
We usually release an episode about The Fringe, every year, some time after it happened. This year, we are trying something new. We are coming to you with some pre-Fringe thoughts and shows we wanted to talk about.
