There were a lot of iterations, but the most explosive growth happened after "Mr. Sam" passed away. No one expected the tiny chain store to become the international behemoth it is today, attracting the brightest minds in tech, retail, HR, real estate, law, business, and now even healthcare to the no longer tiny town in the hills of northwest Arkansas.
