I vowed to defeat evil,
Beat hypocrites the most,
And I suffered
for a decade
Or maybe three,
with illness
Depression,
and psychosis
about my future.
Manic d with a plan.
SuperHero
is not apropos
for a boy in pajamas
with footie protectors
as he runs away.
Wanna see my feet?
It can’t be
cartoon Saturday
Every fu**ing Day…
There are
no clear winners
or losers cleared
in life's
Blockbuster battles.
Whatever happens - happens.
Fuck you.
Instead, I’m all victim
or student of the cosmos.
At least in this neighborhood.
I fake an eternal dance
between light-dark.
I resist, and
the harder the resilience.
Such a marketing term…
F*ck off became.
Breathe.
Resilience.
So, I aged,
Disciplined to relax and soften,
the dance was easier.
This eternal dance
sets us apart as human beings,
not angels, (stop it)
demons, (stop it)
or gods.
(Surely you jest…. )
We must remember it’s humanity.
It is where we all belong.
